Minini, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2022

The Minini estate in Abruzzo has long championed Montepulciano from the region’s sandy-loam vineyards, blending traditional Abruzzese viticulture with modern cellar care. They focus on ripe, expressive fruit and approachable reds that reflect the warmth and terroir of the Adriatic-facing slopes. Deep ruby red in the glass. On the nose: black cherry, plum, dried herbs and soft black pepper. The palate shows generous dark fruit, sour cherry and bramble, supported by moderate tannins and a subtle earthy edge. Medium-full bodied, with fresh acidity that keeps it balanced, and a smooth, easy-drinking finish. Great with rustic pasta, grilled meats or rich tomato-sauce dishes.
